Ma conclusion, garder cette action à long terme.
SNC sitting on healthy order backlog
The GazettePublished: Saturday, November 01
Montreal engineering giant SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. said yesterday some big projects could be reviewed or delayed because of the global credit crisis and commodity price meltdown, but it sees a positive 2009 with an order backlog of nearly $10 billion.
"The current turmoil does bring uncertainties to our business," said CEO Jacques Lamarre. "But we operate in Canada and many other countries, our backlog is supported by new prospects and we've a big cash cushion and low debt."
He told analysts SNC-Lavalin, a world leader in design, engineering and construction management, is much stronger now than in the late '90s when it was hit by the last industry downturn

Back then, China and India were hardly on the big-project map, but the present cycle is different and lots of big projects are going ahead," Lamarre said.
Crude oil at $70 U.S. a barrel may be down steeply from the July peak of $147, he added, but "that's still a very good price that will support the present cycle of global energy and infrastructure investment."
SNC-Lavalin posted third-quarter earnings of $91.3 million, or 60 cents a share, up from $63.2 million, or 41 cents a share, a year earlier. Revenue slipped slightly to $1.69 billion. Mining and metallurgy, infrastructure and environmental business was strong, but revenue from engineering and construction package work dipped 25 per cent
